My Call to Prayer

Several years ago, the Lord highlighted the scripture 1 Samuel 12:23, "Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you...," and I felt that He was asking me to pray for the Church. Now I knew that He was talking about the Body of Christ as described in the scripture in Ephesians 1:22&23 "And He [God the Father] put all things under His [Jesus] feet and gave Him [Jesus] to be head over all things to the church, which is His [Jesus'] body, the fullness of Him [Jesus] who fills all in all." I have to admit that I have not done a very good job of being obedient to this request and so I am deciding to change that. One of the things I'm going to do is to type out my prayers for the Church here. Along with those prayers I am going to share some insights concerning the Church to help any one who decides to join me understand a little bit of where my prayers are coming from. I'm doing this, because another part of the scripture found in 1 Samuel says, "... but I will teach you the good and the right way."
